Change is Good!

hot_rodI love import cars. As many of you know, my love for import cars is the reason that I started this website in the first place. My vision for this website has always been to bring car enthusiasts together and to unify the car scene as a result of a common passion as well as....

.....open, honest and respectful communication with each other.

In my younger days, before I got hooked on the import scene and culture, I wanted a Trans-Am or Camaro. I remember my father owned a 1967 Chevy Impala when he first came to the U.S. and for some reason, I just really liked this car. I guess I have always had a passion for fast cars. If you have ever been to a hot rod car show, take Good Guys or Autorama for example, the attention to detail and the quality of the builds are extraordinary. These guys are on another level and import car enthusiasts and tuners can probably learn a lot from these seasoned car builders.

I find myself being drawn to expand upon the type of cars that I cover because of my committment to diversity. We can all learn from each other. There is an artistry and uniqueness that we each bring through our choice of car(s) and upgrades and, thus, to the whole scene. We are all doing our part to inspire and push each other towards excellence through healthy competition. With this in mind, I have decided to start featuring both Hot Rods as well as and Muscle cars because there are way too many masterpieces out there for us not to cover them.

We welcome not only tuners, but true car enthusiasts. We welcome members who are looking for a friendly, unified car community who are interested in learning from others yet, ultimately, see all of us with the same objective: car enthusiasts who push each other to be their best. We are changing our slogan to reflect our new vision from, "The online magazine and community for the import car culture," to:"The online magazine and community for the car enthusiast." We welcome your participation and we look forward to supporting you with a venue to enjoy and maybe even showcase your positive contributions to the car scene.

If you own one of these works of art, feel free to submit your car, post pics and more.We hope that you will look forward to our expanded articles, pictures and videos showcasing our fellow enthusiasts from Domestic Land as well as Exotics and European models.

expansion! Muscle car fan new and classic, I've worked on a few classics and I have a deep respect for the people who fix them up and restore, until I actually put my hands on one I didn't know so much work had to be put in these cars just to get them back to stock... even then some cars still lack the comfort and luxuries of todays standards ( power windows, renmote start, fuel injection ect... ), parts are hard to find or overpriced, or cheap replicas people lie about what model the car really is or swap engines to make the car look original time and research has to be done when making a purchase. classic cars are truly an enthusiasts project from welding new panels, killing off rust to electric wiring...

I really like this new direction you are going... you've taken the site from a two lane highway driven only by imports to an autobahn driven by all... come out to Car and Coffee this Saturday to see true car diversity. There will be some beautiful rides there that have been masterfully restored.

If you do go, please wear something to indicate you are with tunerlifestyletv and I'll introduce myself.
