Though we added a shout box, it's not a live chat. In the upcoming weeks we will be launching a new live chat, very similar to Facebook. This will replace the chat box feature. Here are the features:

- User can set their status as Available, Away & Invisible
- Avatar Suppot
- Sound Notification on every ping you receive, when you are not using the site
- Facebook like chatbar
- Auto-Refreshing module
- Groups Integration
- Icons on the chatbar which links you to frequently used pages
- Supports Showing All online users/ Only Friends.
- Gmail style bottom right display of chat boxes.
- Keeps chat boxes open and stores state (data) even when pages are browsed/refreshed similar to Facebook.
- Displays “Sent at…” after 3 minutes of inactivity.
- Displays “X says…” & blinks chat boxes when window is not in focus.
- Minimize and close chat boxes.

I love the Facebook chat! This well be a great addition to the site!

Its here! Log in to demo. Once logged in, you will see the bar across the bottom. Obviously you must have friends to chat . Let us know if you encoutner any issues. The shoutbox has been removed.

it is a great idea.. i think it has a few bugs though. the bar doesnt sit flush .. atleast on my computer.. may be different on others. also when i hit the chat button ur name doesnt appear.. and your online..
